"Went the other day with a friend and the waiter was so sweet! There was a few moments of me waiting for my friend to come in and she made me feel so welcome and not alone. She had good knowledge of wines and recommended a nice red from Italy which was delicious! Overall beautiful atmosphere, can get a bit loud inside but wonderful food and wine options- coming from a wine enthusiast. Can’t recommend enough!"

"First time dining here and we had a really nice experience overall The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They actually forgot to give us a menu at first but the place was really busy so totally understandable! Serving time was surprisingly quick even with the crowd, which we really appreciated. We ordered the pork milanise and the casarace pasta. Both were tasty, though we personally found the food a bit on the salty side. Since it was our first visit, we’re not sure if that’s how it usually is, but that was our impression this time. Overall, it was a good experience and we’d still come back to try other dishes!"

"Very good local Italian restaurant. It was super busy which meant that the service was slow. The garlic focaccia is incredible and I would go back just for that. I had the bolognaise which although quite expensive was really good although the pasta could have used a few more mins cooking. The pizza was fabulous and very tasty!"

"We were a group of friends and we dined here a Sunday night. Not our first time, nor the last one. Everything was impeccable couldn’t fault anything : from comfort food to drinks, from a welcoming atmosphere to friendly service, we had an outstanding experience. I recommend this Italian restaurant, as the Italian chef Riccardo, knows flavors and he knows how to deliver authentic Italian dishes with a little twist to make your experience even more fabulous without having the dishes lose their authenticity. "Had my birthday dinner here with a bunch of friends and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were so helpful and the food was amazing! All of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Highly recommend their chilli mussels, beef cheek and the pork belly. In fact, all the dishes were good! If you want good Italian food with great service, Woodpeckers is the place to go!"

"An unexpected find which turned out to be the best Italian food we have had in Perth! They offer a mix of Italian staples and creative dishes - I enjoyed everything we ordered (pizza special, frico, cocoa tagliatelle) but the cabbage side dish turned out to be my favourite! Nathan was so nice and accommodating of our young kids. Highly recommend and will be back!"
